🍩🧵 Our creative crafters had a sweet time sewing their very own donut stuffies yesterday! Sprinkles, smiles, and lots of handmade fun! Thank you @rebecca_miller_creations for leading our workshop!

Join Animal Welfare Association (AWA) for our Ready Fur School Library Program; a fun and engaging literacy program for children ages 5–11!

Participants will build reading confidence by reading to Mama Bun, AWA's Education Rabbit, while learning about kindness, animal behavior, and responsible pet care through interactive humane education activities. Mama Bun will relax comfortably in her x-pen, providing a calm, encouraging, and judgment-free reading companion.

Each participant will receive a copy of the book, Love Me Gently, an activity book, and a plush reading companion to continue practicing their reading skills at home. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation. Come discover the joy of reading while celebrating the special bond between people and animals!

Kanopy is a free streaming service available to our patrons. Kanopy Kids is a tightly curated collection of the best children’s programming available today. The kids' selection is curated to support early literacy, STEM education, and even foreign language learning. Using favorite children’s characters from Sesame Street, PBS Kids, Weston Woods, and more, the collection of kids films inspire empathy, critical thinking, and self-esteem in young viewers.

You’ve been donating, we’ve been sorting! The @haddonfieldfol Book Sale is happening soon - Saturday 9/26 10am-5pm and Sunday 9/27 10am-1pm at the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge. There just might be some sweet Haddonfield merch there too 👀📚

During the heavy rains of July 6 and July 11, the children’s program room flooring was damaged. Under the vinyl tile, we discovered a layer of the older asbestos flooring tile that had been safely covered by vinyl tile. Although it had been safely covered by newer tile, we decided to have the older tile removed. The library will be closed on September 10 & 11. The abatement company will remove the tiles and eliminate any possibility of exposure.

We anticipate the Library opening as normal on September 12. However, we’ll still need time to restore the room to the same warm, inviting space it has been, so please continue to pardon the continued closure of that room until all repairs are completed.
