We've Updated Our Mask Policy

Beginning March 7th we hope to see your smiling face!

As everyone has probably heard by now, Governor Murphy will allow the state's mask mandate for schools to expire on March 7th. The library has reviewed the state data and guidance and has also decided to make masks optional within the building with the exemptions listed below. We are still committed to slowing the spread as much as possible so should the threat from COVID rise beyond certain thresholds (such as those the district schools have published), the Library would return to masks required temporarily until the level of risk is once again at the lower levels that warrant the mask optional status. We also encourage everyone to follow basic measures to prevent outbreaks or spread of COVID including physical distancing, frequent hand washing and staying home when feeling ill.

Special times when masks are required

So that we may serve all members of the community regardless of health status, we will require masks during these hours:

  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Monday - Saturday

  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Sunday

  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday

More ways to use the library

We understand that many people are still wary of public spaces. That's why we still offer curbside pickup to anyone who can't enter the building. Cardholders can also download our library app to browse the collection, place holds, and renew materials. With Creativebug, Niche Academy, and LinkedIn Learning craft, tech, and business classes are available at home.

Circumstances change quickly so keep an eye on our website and social media for updates to the policy.
