I just finished Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas. If you like DC Comics and a powerful female trio then this is the book for you!

I love Sarah J Maas’ books so much and I recommend her to all of my friends. Honestly, I could rave about her for days. Her writing style is amazing. She creates unforgettable characters with deep plots. This is a series of different authors writing about DC Comics characters. These can be read as stand alone books. In Catwoman: Soulstealer, we follow the life of Seline Kyle, a thief and huntress, trying to find help for her sister with Cystic Fibrosis. Along the way she makes an unlikely friendship between two other females with a history of their own. While her sister is hanging on to her life by a thread, Seline is navigating her way through the slums of Gotham City and fighting enemies along the way. She has to balance her life as a league fighter and an elite rich woman in order to pay her sister’s medical bills. Read this book to find out if she is able to survive while saving her sister.

I recommend all of Sarah Maas' books because they are absolutely fabulous. Another series to read is A Court of Thorns and Roses which is loosely based on the classic fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast. I have an emotional attachment to all of her characters so my opinion may be slightly biased. Stay healthy and positive, Mia.

Mia Gagliardi is a sophomore at Haddonfield Memorial High School. She loves to read fantasy and realistic fiction and enjoys getting book suggestions. During quarantine, she has transformed into Betty Crocker with the unusual amount of cooking and baking she has been doing. You might catch a glimpse of her around town on one of her runs through Haddonfield. Like all of us, she misses her friends and school routine but remains positive that one day soon things will start to change.
