New Service! Writer-in-Residence provides help with your writing!
Beginning in January 2017, Haddonfield Public Library will offer students in grades 7 through 12 the complimentary services of a Writer-in-Residence with the goal of coaching young adult writers to personal success with school writing assignments.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up for a thirty minute time block on Wednesdays between the hours of 3:30-7:30 pm by emailing Alysa Cummings: email@example.com
- Come to the Haddonfield Public Library’s Teen Commons on the first floor at the agreed upon time with the assignment sheet for the writing project, along with the teacher’s grading rubric, as well as any class notes and initial written drafts accessible on a device or drive.
- The Writer-in-Residence will work with student writers, one at a time, to move each one forward with the goal of successfully completing a writing assignment.
Alysa Cummings is Haddonfield Public Library’s Writer-in-Residence. She is a published author, blogger, poet, memoirist, librarian, writing tutor and online instructor. Come to the library to take advantage of her years of experience with the written word as well Ms. Cummings’ talent as a writing coach.
