"A library is not simply a repository of books, it is the symbol and center of our culture... a door and a window for those who might not otherwise have such doors and windows."
-Amy Tan, author
Large Print and other Special Collections
The library has a large collection of Large Print books, both fiction and non-fiction. The Haddonfield Lions Club supports the Large Print collection with generous donations.
The library also has a kiosk or computer workstation called Outspoken Library. It allows for downloading of selected books to a flash drive for use of these works at other locations. The library works closely with the Talking Book and Braille Center (TBBC) in Trenton (which placed the Outspoken Library kiosk). Members of the community are eligible to borrow digital books and newspapers as well as other formats of “books” for a variety of disabilities. The library works with TBBC to certify those with disabilities to receive these materials at home. For more information, contact the library at 856-429-1304.
